They're overthrowing the Commercial and Construction List Judge

This shocking piece of news was in the "InBrief" email sent by the NSW Bar Association to its members today:


Of course, if you click through on the link in the email, it's clear that this was just a funny coincidence. The full sentence is "It is anticipated that there will be a couple of informal speeches to mark his Honour’s retirement at the commencement of the List. Members of the Bar are encouraged to attend."

So it seems unlikely that anyone is actually planning to march into the Supreme Court next week, arrest McDougall J on the eve of his retirement, and assume control of the Commercial and Construction list by force.

Still, it gave me a chuckle.
